You won't be able to completely appreciate this if you haven't heard the other. Yeah, it's different from Business/Party.because it's a REMIX album. Just sayin. So if you're not feeling this one for some reason, don't go away judging without checking out Dance or Die (without a vengeance). The tracks come from Dance or Die, the original new album. Which is not *quite* as keytar/electric-drumkit-on-speed pseudo-hip-hop ironic-fizzy-pop.
I know most people dislike remakes but i love them, often times the remakes are better than the origional.Case in point is such. i couldn't be happier as atleast 4 of these songs are in my top 10 fav songs and now i have more versions of the songs to listen to and enjoy. they kept up with their greatest trait, which is upbeat good quality music that can easily keep you awake for hours. Yes its diferent but do we realy want to feal like its the exact same sound every time. No, and sometimes it's nice having diferent versions of the same song.
Needs a little more kick to it.This album is painful.Guys- your fans liked the first album so much because it rocked. Fans loved it.Second album was good, not as good as the first. Fever- good. Get Your Back Off The Wall is one of my favorites.
Come on guys. That's what made you famous. Rest of the album too poppish. What is this.
Wake The Dead- good. How about a little more use of the guitar on the next album. How about a new album instead of recycyling your last album. These remake versions sound like the soundtrack to a B-grade 80's teenage film.First album rocked. Fans were a little disappointed, but loyal.
It has a good sound, but not nearly as much energy as I came to expect from FF5. Now I am not opposed to change, I understand that bands must change or it gets to be the same ole, same ole.
Not a bad album, it just didn't have that signature flare that FF5 have the potential for. But I still miss the sound and energy from Business Up Front/Party In Back.
This album is very much different. One you can crank up with your windows down and just ROCK OUT too.
I am anxious to see where they go from here. Not really my style, but not horrible.
I really enjoyed their first album.
If you listen to the CD through a couple of times, you are sure to like it. The songs are still good, but I personally prefer their first CD that was heavy rock. The CD is still worth buying, just be aware that for the first half of the CD you won't be listening to the same band that released the first album. When I first put this CD in I had to immediately pull it back out and make sure that it was a Family Force 5 CD. The CD is not bad, it is actually pretty good, but it is so different from their first CD that you will think it is a different band for the first 6 songs. In this CD they pull back on the rock and swing more towards techno and voice modulation.
